Wilmington, NC- On June 3rd, MCO Transport participated in Transportation Truck Day 2008 at Blair ElementarySchool. Transportation Truck Day is a program designed to explain the importance of transportation and its relevance in the workplace. Also, this program provided awareness for these students about job opportunities in the transportation field.
MCO delivered a 6700 Series Volvo Sleeper Truck to Blair Elementary School for this event. The students toured the inside of the Sleeper Cab and saw how a driver lives when he goes on a long haul. The Sleeper Cab comes equipped with microwave, refrigerator, television, DVD, and C.B. Radio. The truck tour gave the students of Blair Elementary a first hand experience of a day in the life of an over the road truck driver.
